Sweet. Sticky. Ferociously hot. Crispy fried chicken smothered in the bold, layered heat of Sinai Gourmet’s 8 Dragons hot sauce!
INGREDIENTS
Chicken
- 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
Glaze
- ½ to 1 bottle Sinai Gourmet 8 Dragon hot sauce
- 1–2 tsp butter or neutral oil
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Marinate
Place chicken in buttermilk and salt. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for maximum tenderness.
2. Dredge
In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and black pepper. Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
3. Fry
Heat oil to 350°F / 175°C. Fry chicken pieces in batches for 5–7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a wire rack to drain.
4. Prepare the Glaze
In a sauté pan over medium heat, warm the Sinai Gourmet 8 Dragons hot sauce with butter or oil until heated through and glossy.
5. Toss & Coat
Add the hot fried chicken to the pan and toss until each piece is evenly coated in the sauce.
6. Serve
Transfer to a serving platter and finish as desired.
